About Open Update Manager

Open Update Manager is a basic framework (client/server) used to integrate in another project and able this to keep updated software components (code and binaries) like other commercial projects that have it's own update manager.

Open Update Manager needs to integrate with a software project, to setup a server, create a contents package to be replicated and of course, a client integration with "host" software. This client will contact with server, detect latest update level and get new data if available.

Open Update Manager has also a open interface to define a custom-coded licence control.

Vision

Our goal with Open Update Manager is to have a simple way to replicate changes for each project. This replication should have several principles:

After our first versions, we can say that all build specifications are done. Open Update Manager has been integrated successful in three projects: Pandora FMS, Babel Enteprise, and Integria IMS.
